Manufacturer of China at Edensor Road, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. This manufactory was started by the Bourne family (Thomas & Eliza)

In the 1896 and 1900 Kelly Trade Directory the factory manager is listed as Thomas William Bourne. (The eldest son of Thomas & Eliza)

Thomas was born in 1839 in Hanley, Staffordshire and Eliza was born in 1838 also in Hanley. 
They were both designers of pottery and then they went on to start the Britannia China Company in Edensor Road, Longton. At the time of the 1901 census they lived in Rock Cottage in the parish of Forsbrook They had a son called Vincent who was a pottery artist 
and a daughter who married Alfred Sims.
