  • Manufacturing ceased in 1957. The company was dissolved in June 1959.

 

NOTE: Not to beconfused with other companies who used the ALTON name....

  • Alton Towers Handcraft Pottery (c.1953-70s) who produced earthenware - agate pottery, slip and sgraffito decorated ware. 

  • Alton Art Ware.

  • Manufacturers who used ALTON as a pattern name. e.g. Royal Albert, Grindley, Royal Doulton and in particular Swinnertons who used the name 'Olde Alton Ware' for a range of blue and white ware.
