This company was based at the Low Lights Pottery, North Shields, Northumberland and was not a North Staffordshire pottery - however it is included in this list of Stoke-on-Trent potters as it sometimes used a mark incorporating the wording "Warranted Staffordshire"

"J. Carr" was used in 1845
"& Son" from 1854
"& Sons" from 1861

The mark is listed in "Kowalsky" pg 140 and "Bell Tyneside Pottery" (pg 139) as John Carr & Son.
