China manufacturer at the Burton Place Works, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
  • The Burton Place Works had previously been operated members of the Bevington family and from around 1891 by Ambrose Bevington (another member of the Bevington family) in partnership with Ernest Bevington - and they operated as Hanley Porcelain Company.

  • In 1899 the business was renamed to Hanley China Co. It appears to have been incorporated as a limited company towards the end of 1899. 

  • This was a short lived business and in July 1901 a resolution was passed that the company be wound up because it could not meet its liabilities.

The company registered five patterns. One as Hanley China Co (335407 on the 17th March 1899) and four as  
Hanley China Co Ltd (357642-5 all on 24th May 1900).

this is the same style of mark as Hanley Porcelain Company
but with the initials altered to suit.
