Earthenware manufacturers at the Boston Works, Sandyford, Tunstall (from 1867-1871) then Jabez Blackhurst continued alone at Boston Works until 1883, when Knapper and Blackhurst became partners again at Newport Lane, Dale Hall, Burslem. (from 1883-1888)
NOTE: also in Keates trade directory recorded as 'Blackhurst & Co' in 1867 at Sandyford.

Subsequently (at Boston Works): Jabez Blackhurst (1872-1883)

 

Initials used on ware for identification:

K & B

The initials on a printed or impressed mark.
Often the mark is in the form of a 'belt' 
as in the J Blackhurst example
