In the centre is a small green roofed building - this was the cab drivers shelter (demolished in 1907)

Crown Bank is an open area adjacent to Stafford Street
- immediately behind is Piccadilly - 

to the left (off the picture) is Fountain Square in the centre is Market Lane and off to the right is Percy Street.

This area was the centre for the horse drawn cabs.

Buildings: To the left is the Dolphin public house (The Midland Bank is located on this spot now)
