Manufacturers of earthenware at the Old Hall Pottery, Hanley.

In 1835 he was the successor of his father Job Meigh.

From 1850-51 he was in partnership under the name 'Charles Meigh, Son & Pankhurst'.

From 1851 to March 1861 he traded under he name 'Charles Meigh & Son'

Subsequently he traded under the style 'Old Hall Earthenware Co Ltd'

Many printed, impressed or moulded marks were used incorporating the initials 'C M' or the name in full.

c.1835-49

C M S & P When trading as 'Charles Meigh, Son & Pankhurst' these initials were incorporated in marks c.1850-51
C MEIGH & SON

C M & S

Many marks from 1851 to March 1861 incorporate the initials 'C M & S' or the name in full.
Impressed or printed mark; slight variations occur with different wording according the the item. - such as 'Indian Stone China', 'Improved Stone China' etc.
