Benjamin Cork (b.1797/8 d.1875) - Earthenware Manufacturer - Burslem

 

 

c.1797 born in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent
1846-60 in partnership with Joseph Edge at the earthenware factory in Queen Street Newport Pottery. The firm was named 'Cork & Edge"
1851 Cork & Edge exhibited at the "Great Exhibition"
1851 Cork & his family were known to be living in Newport Lane, Burslem, at this date.
1855-60 Benjamin Cork served on the Burslem Local Board of Health.
1875 died - 1875
Benjamin Cork & his wife Mary had three daughters, one of whom (also named Mary) married the Wesleyan Minister Frederick William Macdonald.
