Born 1864, Barton-under-Needwood, Staffs. 
Son of the late William Hickson.
Educated at Barton-under-Needwood, Burton-on-Trent.

Married 1889, Florence Mary, daughter of the late George Dunn.

Member of Staffordshire County and City of Stoke-on-Trent Police Forces, 1884 to 1924; 
Member of the City of Stoke-on-Trent Council from 1925 to date; 
Member of the Longton War Memorial Committee; 
Member of the Longton Hospital Saturday Committee twenty years.

Recreations-Fishing, Shooting.
