Born 1889 at Kings Langley. Son of late Rev. Benjamin Karn. 
Educated at St. Edmund's School, Canterbury, and Downing College, Cambridge.

Married 1920, Mary Tregellas, daughter of late Leonard Gibson of Bromsgrove.

Curate of Bromsgrove, 1912;
Vicar of Catshill, 1920. 
Chaplain Mission to Seamen, Durban, 1925, 
also at Capetown, 1928; 
Vicar of St. Paul's, Newcastle-under-Lyme, 1931 to date 1934; 
Chaplain R.N. on H.M. Ship Carnarvon, 1918.
