Eastwood Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

 


Eastwood Road, it is an old area of the town close to the Johnson Brothers factories. It runs from Leek Road to Lichfield Street and crosses the Caldon Canal.

The Trent works is on the left and Leek Road is at the bottom.

This area is dominated by the three large Johnson Brothers potworks (now part of the Wedgwood Group). 

Trent Works is on the right. The Imperial Works is on the left. The light coloured building at the top of the road is the entrance to Hanley Pottery
The Trent works is the only one which is currently (2000) in operation. The Imperial and Hanley Pottery Works are earmarked for demolition.
