It seems everyone has a role in the design of these plates. 
Issued by Gray's Pottery, (at their Hanley works), England for Johnson Brothers, pattern #8408. 
According to Susie Cooper Ceramics, by Andrew Casey, pattern #8408 is designed by Susie Cooper under the name THISTLE in 1929. The six 10" plates have stylized center motive in green, pink, and grey, with pink and grey bands and green spots to border edge.

Hand painted pattern - the "Hanley" address was used c.1912-33


Here is a very nice sunderland luster small dish. The scene is a very unusual transfer.  It measures 4" square.

The back stamp is the Gray's Stoke works


Gray`s Pottery Made In Stoke On Trent England cream pitcher or mini miniature pitcher. It is 2 3/4" tall and has a bouquet of colorful flowers on both sides.
