Amos Taylor (b.1866 d.1961) was a Brick & Tile Manufacturer who  lived in Apedale Road Chesterton.
Family oral history has it that it was the "Downing" brick works and this is probably because Amos Taylor had married Bertha Downing whose family must have either owned the business originally or had  a share in it.  Both families lived in Apedale Road for many years
