Nearby further down Newcastle Street by the canal is Price and Kensington Potteries, Steelite, Burgess and Leigh and a few other potteries. Just behind and across the canal is one of H & R Johnson factories.

Newcastle Street runs from Burslem to Longport and to Newcastle.
The rear of the cottages backs onto Tried Street and Port Vale Street. The rear of the cottages backs onto Tried Street and Port Vale Street.

At the bottom of Port Vale Street (in Yale Street) is the works of Steelite.
