Festival Park Streets Past & Present

Festival Park, situated between Hanley and Etruria, is one of the most modern developments in Stoke-on-Trent. The area was created during the late 20th century on former industrial land that had once been occupied by collieries, steelworks, canalside industries, and railway infrastructure.

Its name commemorates the National Garden Festival held in Stoke-on-Trent in 1986, which transformed large parts of the derelict landscape.

This page lists the present and historic streets of Festival Park and links to descriptions of the origins of street names, old maps, local developments, and the changing character of the district over time. Although many streets are comparatively recent, the area reflects the wider regeneration of former industrial land within the Potteries.

Today, Festival Park is a major commercial, leisure, and business destination, where modern roads and developments stand on land once closely associated with the industrial history of Stoke-on-Trent.
