Frederick Bishop - The 1871 Census return for the Mount Estate
When the Allbuts left Frederick Bishop, a solicitor and property developer (
on Frederick Bishop and his property deals), leased the house from the Spode family in 1853.
Three years later he brought the house and employed James Bailey to farm the land on the estate.
