Pitts Hill Station

Originally Pitts Hill station was to have been named Chell station, but the name of the smaller, but closer village prevailed.

above the tunnel is the 12 million Tunstall Northern Area Bypass (James Brindley Way), which will link the A527 between Reginald Mitchell Way and Biddulph Road, will ease traffic through the north of Stoke-on-Trent.

the effect of the bypass (opened in July 2008) on the greenway is now being corrected
