On the 1898 map this shopping centre was the location of a large Sunday School.

This photo is looking back towards Blackburn house and Albion Square. Behind the 'shopping centre' is the bus station. The street on the left is Charles Street.

On the corner of Parliament Row and Old Hall Street is Parliament Square where this pub stands - almost directly opposite Charles Street.
