  • Previously Stephen Clive & William Llloyd have carried on in business as Clive & Lloyd... "Mr. Lloyd retired, by Stephen Clive under the style of Stephen Clive & Co. from about 1875 to 1880." - Jewitt's Ceramic Art of Great Britain, revised by G. A. Godden, p142.

  • A notice in the London Gazette noted that on the 29th June 1878  William Lloyd had withdrawn from the partnership known as Stephen Lloyds & Co.
