  • It is probable that Crown Royal was a manufacturer bought up by Colclough China Ltd - or more likely a trade name used by Colclough.

  • Colclough were bought out by Ridgway Potteries Ltd. The Colclough name was used by sucessor companies well into the 1970s.

Royal Vale

Royal Vale was a trade name of Herbert John Colclough from when they were at the Vale Pottery Works.
Originally the name Royal Vale was used in conjunction with the Colclough mark - but was later used on its own

This set is made up of mainly 'Crown Royal' pieces, but some marked 'Colclough' as well.
The Ivy design is consistent throughout.
