Born 1866 at Great Dunmow. Son of the late John Goodwin, Esq.

Educated at The Magnus, Newark.

Married 1910, Hilda, daughter of the late Thomas Abelwhite, Esq.

Senior Curate of Grantham Parish Church, 1894-1906; 
Rector of Stamford, 1907 ; 
Vicar of Eccieshall, 1916 ; 
Rector of Tinwell, 1918, and Rector of Leigh, 1920 ; 
Chaplain to the Marquis of Exeter at Burghley House, 1907-1916.

Did duty at Extra Churches and Hospitals for wounded during the Great War.

County tennis player for Nottinghamshire;
Winner of Lincolnshire Cup and Newark Challenge Cup. 

Recreations - Golf, Tennis, Cricket, Skating and Painting.

Heir - Wray Gerald Gradwell Goodwin. Born 1911
