The Woodhouse, Cheadle, Staffs.Born 1864, Cork, Ireland. Daughter of the late W. E. Gibson of Cork.
Educated at Cork.Married 1888.
One of the First Women Magistrates appointed;
First Mayoress of the Federated County Borough of Stoke-on-Trent, of which her husband, Major Cecil Wedgwood was First Mayor, 1910 and 1911;Made Honorary Freeman of the City of Stoke-on-Trent, in 1930, being the first woman to receive this honour.
