Manufacture of rustic and terra cotta earthenware in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England.
  • Elizabeth Taylor Caulkin married Henry William Baddeley (William III) who was a pottery manufacturer at Hanley & Longton. 

  • After her husband died in 1864 she continued the business at St. Martin's Lane (only in 1864) and then at 3 Commerce Street (1864-75).

  • Jewitt, in his book published in 1878 states ".. and his widow now carries on business in Commerce Street." (emphasis added).  

  • The son of Henry William and Elizabeth Taylor - William Baddeley IV - had started pottery manufacturer on his own account in 1862.
