Banktop Avenue joins High Lane and Fairway Road - its main feature is Riley Terrace, a pre-1890 row of terraced houses on High Lane. This is the junction of Burslem, Tunstall and Chell. Although both High Lane and Fairway Road are listed in Burslem, Banktop Avenue is listed in Chell Area.

Banktop Avenue is named after the Banktop district.
