Manufacturers of earthenware and china at Cauldon Place and at the Bell Works, Albion Street, Stoke-upon-Trent

 

  • The partners were the brothers John Ridgway and William Ridgway. 

  • John and William were sons of Job Ridgway. In 1802 they joined their father's Cauldon Place works (1802 was when the works were built), in 1808 they became partners and in 1813, when Job died, the brothers continued in partnership. 

  • In 1830 the two brothers inherited the Bell Works from their uncle George.

  • This partnership ended in 1830 with John keeping the Cauldon Works and William moving to the Bell works.

Formerly: Job Ridgway & Sons [1808-14] 

Subsequently: John Ridgway [1830-55]   William Ridgway [1830-54]
