Producing Staffordshire figures. dogs etc from early 19thC moulds. 

NOTE: A company 'Bairstow Manor Pottery Ltd' continues to produce Staffordshire Dogs from the original 19thC Kent moulds and uses this mark.

Godden records hat this mark has been found on porcelain of the 1910-30 period.
The mark may be that of J H Middleton & Co of Longton who operated c.1889-1941

Old Hall Earthenware Co Ltd, Old Hall Pottery, Hanley
1861 - July 1886

this printed mark was registered as a trade mark in 1884.

the same mark continued to be used by successors...

The Old Hall  works were rebuilt in 1790 by Job Meigh (1750-1817) it was demolished in 1905.

"ENGLAND" was added from c.1891
