Earthenware and ironstone manufacturers at various works in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England

  • Joseph Edge, jun. and Benjamin Cork had previously been in business together at the Queen Street Works as Cork and Edge. In 1860 James Malkin joined the business which then operated as Cork, Edge & Malkin.

  • At the same time as operating at the Queen Street Works they operated the New Wharf Potteries and then around 1868 at the Newport Pottery

  • In 1871 Benjamin Cork left the business which was continued by Joseph Edge and James Malkin.

the registration diamond shows that the design was registered by Cork, Edge & Malkin at the Newport Pottery on the 22nd July 1870
