Marks & initials used on ware for identification:
| Thomas, John and Joshua Mayer operated at the Dale Hall Works from 1843 to 1855. They were very sucessful, introducing improvements in pattern printing and winning a medal at the 1851 British Exhibition. Sucessive manufacturers at the Dale Hall Works often incorporated in their marks the words 'LATE MAYERS'. Bates & Elliot (1870-75) first introduced a kneeling nude potter mark which was also used by successive owners of the Dale Hall Works. |
